The composition
NACRE is built in three movements. The shader behind each note is the colour you'll smell, mapped to light.
Bergamot opens like a window in February. Pink-salt ozone, white pepper, a crack of frozen citrus.
Iris absolue laid across neroli and a thread of birch tar. Powder and ember holding hands.
Ambergris and vetiver under a synthetic oud distilled to read like wet stone, not wood. Long, cold, residual.
The house
Maison NACRE was started in 2021 by perfumer Aiko Vallon and shader artist Léo Marchand as a single proposition: a fragrance should have a colour, and the colour should not stand still.
Every bottle ships with a numbered light-card — a printed diffraction grating that reproduces, in physical space, the gradient you're looking at right now. Edition of 1,200.
The object
Square-shouldered flacon in optically clear glass with a pearl-finished crown. The neck is mirror-polished brass; the body is gently faceted so that no two passes through it look quite the same.
